  • Thumb Up if you know it first from Judas Priest !

  • Yes, she's a brilliant songwriter, yes, she has a once-in-lifetime voice...but I don't think Baez gets nearly enough credit for her guitar playing. Those chord progressions, which are of her own design, are extremely difficult, and I have a hard time coming up with any noted musician whose guitar style is quite llke hers.

  • this was the best song for judas priest to cover. joan baez is such a beautiful singer and songwriter. rob halford did her justice <3

  • @WhoaThereMama I'm aware..they still do it better

  • @metalangel01 too bad it's her song -_-

  • Possibly the most beautiful, meaningfull and delicate lyrics ever written by a USA artist/singer/writer.This one is for the ages. One hundred years from now these lyrics will be as beautiful and much appreciated by that generation as we do today.

  • Nothing to say actually.

    1up.

  • Funny thing is, as unique as this is, it is somewhat of a common chord progression. E minor, B7, G C D...like so many songs we have all heard. But how good does it sound?

  • Wow!! Thank you to my guitar student Barb for asking to learn this song.

How is it I never heard it before? Too much Van HAlen in my past?

    Beautiful and simple.

  • Nobody does it better than Joan! Clarity and purity of voice and feeling! Even today! And her hair has always been beautiful!

  • Her acoustical guitar playing is great. Do you comprehend how difficult it is to sing and play so perfectly at the same time? This was the best song she ever wrote...it was for for Bob Dylan. Guess after Gabe Harris she gave up. Never should have cut her hair, ever. She is matchless in our times, better in person than in the studio. With most artists, this cannot be said.

  • Sorry Joan, Judas Priest does it 10x's better
