New treatments available for cancer were discussed by world cancer experts from the USA and Europe in a free public information evening The Promise of Gene Therapy Newest Cancer Treatments on Thursday, September 3rd. The event was hosted by Cork Cancer Research Centre (CCRC) and took place at the Lifetime Lab, Lee Road, Cork, Ireland.
Five specialists shared the new treatments they have pioneered for cancer patients. The specialists were in Cork to participate in a three day international conference on cancer gene therapy. They discussed cancer research, clinical trials, the prognosis for gene therapy, and in addition, what is gene therapy and why gene therapy is seen as one of the leading treatments in the future of treating cancer.
