Nice footage of a "Starstream Fan-Jet" with the early black radome nose landing in San Francisco, and nosing into the gate at LAX. :-)
The scene with the jetway approaching the aircraft; you'd almost never see the nose gear doors open like that right after an actual arrival! :-)

Flew TWA once in the latter years. Now know why TWA stood for Try Walking Across! Abysmal service. F/As on a par to the Gestapo. Not a single smile. Virtually thew the meal tray at you, and woe betide you ask for another drink! That was St louis to London.

My first flight to the US, September 1976, was on a TWA 707 London Gatwick to Chicago. Changed at O'Hare to another TWA 707 to San Francisco. Good times.

If you look closely its actually a Boeing 720...no VHF antenna on the vert stab tip and rudder surfacer slightly different

Now that's a killer shot of this once-great carrier who looked really sharp on the 707!!! My 1st long-haul flight was aboard one of these babies! Simply beautiful!
