@MsWastedGirl1 actually, in an episode of ANTM i watched this one black girl was eating a lot and tyra mentioned how NO ONE would touch up her photo as much as they did and that she needed to not eat so much.

@maraki332 I can't remember... she didn't make it past the top 13 or something but yeah, they said some pretty harsh things about her. It was an earlier season, I think.
I remember Anna Maria! She had a bad attitude.

@nicolelectric Interesting, can you name the cycle and the girl? Cos I dont remember that happening. What I do remember is one girl with great face, called Anna Maria(cycle 15), being kicked off because she was too thin.

@MsWastedGirl1 that's not true. they HAVE told girls to lose weight because "the industry is competitive" and those girls are not naturally that thin.

@yaldaomari Plus-sized is a "nice" word for fat. Since when is fat any better than thin? There used to be hate for "plus-sized" women, but now that the self-esteem movement has started to focus on making unhealthy fat women feel better about themselves, the hate has moved to thinner girls, urging them to gain weight. When can a balance be made?

@devilshomie Hello fellow Youtuber! I would just like to say, yes, Tyra hosts the show ANTM. BUT if you have ever watched it, or watch it frequently. Tyra has never promoted anyone to loose weight, anyone to be thinner, anyone to only accept thin girls. They accept curvy girls into the competition and during the competition they don't tell people to starve themselves. Its NATURAL thin girls who go on that show.

Tyra Banks does not promote thiness with her show. In fact, she encourages the models to be and look healthy. At one point in the show, she sent a girl home because she said she was too skinny to participate in the show, as it was dangerous for her health. Also, one of her cycles winners was a beautifull, plus size model. So at the end of the day, she is not a hypocrite.
