Spain is a country still coming to terms with a Civil War fought more than six decades ago. The Law of Historic Memory passed, in November 2007, by Spains parliament has reopened many of the issues of the war and dictatorship. As mass graves are discovered across the country, a struggle for the right to record history has be re-awakened between left and right. This film speaks to both sides of the struggle to own the past.

  • If the republican side killed that many priest and nuns how many others did they kill? Is that democracy? They were radical brutes who deserved everything they got.

  • My grandmother had to flee germany when nazis came to power in germany because she wasnt "racially pure". It tore our family apart and she's still very hurt about it, how can we forget that?!? It's my family's history, it's my history, no matter what we'll never forget such sad and vile acts.

Have we forgot that Franco was one of Hitlers buddies?!?!?!?!
