  • @GIChiyo Youre welcome! Glad it helped!

  • I am trying to edit the host files for my Apache server. How can I save my edited file without using Nano? I tried creating a host file and saving it with Nano but I don't have root permission.

    Thanks.

  • @ashlady1796 You won't be able to save the file if you dont have root access. No matter which text editor you use, you still need permission to edit that file. Maybe you can ask to administrator for the password? If YOU are the administrator, type in "sudo" before you run nano.

  • @thomas242007 Same here.Knowing DOS commands really helps!

  • @AlejandroBjorg correct, I am using VMware to run Ubuntu inside Windows. This made the networking tutorial a little confusing, but it the easiest way. There are some programs on osalt (open source alternative) that work the same as cam studio.
