Keep in mind that it WAS H.R giger who desinged the monsters and the alien world in the game AS WELL as the Xenomorphs from Alien so he can kinda get away with it. In fact if you really think about it the Alien movies are ripping off one of H.R gigers paintings from 2 years back from the art book Necronomicon.

I was honestly expecting something creepy and disturbing... this wasn't it.

the same guy who did alien did the design of this game, you can see many things from other movies and works he did almost inaltered inside this game..
