Brother Jed at ASU and Normal Bob Smith

This footage is from Brother Jed's visit to ASU during the week of March 16th - 20th 2009; all of this was shot on the day of March 18th 2009.

Brother Jed is a vituperative campus preacher who visits ASU fairly much every year in order to shout at passersby. Usually slinging insults, condemning "fooorincators" and calling people whores and whoremongers. In recent years he's calmed down a lot and doesn't draw as large crowds by himself. This visit to ASU his wife (Sister Cindy) and two of his daughters came along also. Cindy managed to be far more insulting than Jed by degrees and gathered significant crowds.

Yes, I have to admit it. Apparently I am a whoremonger -- Brother Jed seems to think so, although he hasn't a clue why my stock of whores hasn't arrived yet. It's probably the hat and the cane that makes him think so.

Normal Bob Smith is an atheist activist who dresses in nice suits, paints himself red, and puts on devil horns. He spends most of his time in New York passing out pamphlets and is surrounded by a gaggle of attack Catholic school girls. The people who hosted Normal Bob Smith were the Secular Free Thought Society of ASU (a secular club at ASU) and the Mill Avenue Resistance (an atheist activism/protest group that I discovered a year ago on Mill Ave). http://www.betterthanfaith.com

Yes. I got my hat back after filming. It was getting so hot that it was causing me to sweat unfortunately.

I don't expect to do a lot of religious stuff on this channel, but I can introduce people to the Mill Avenue Resistance if they'd like to see them on camera. I interview them every few weeks about their experience on Mill Ave so I have quite a bit of footage and audio interview.

I don't too much see the.... Well, reason for the video? The old guy doesn't seem that bad. He should have answered some questions though. I think campus missionaries would be taken more seriously if they discussed things in a forum-type setting, in one place, with peopel asking questions, but there's always an asshole or two..

The video was produced mostly because I was there. Both Brother Jed and Normal Bob Smith are semi-famous (and they know each other) so I wanted to get at least a little bit of footage of both of them.

When I was interview people in Cady Mall, word came over that Jed was calling for Normal Bob, so I just took my camera over to get some video of both of them in action.

Let's see here - who seems to be more rational and intelligent here? Brother Jed a man who is preaching about truth and the moral requirements of a loving God? Or Prince and Normal Bob who "dress" up in makeup like little children on halloween and have the logic of a watermelon! Judgmental much? It doesnt really suit good character to act censorious upon few details and without any backing demonstration. I made no logical arguments in this video, presented only the facts of the situation, and attempted to record both Bob and Jed in interaction as an introduction to both of them.

Wow! way to use your head there. It's so rational to believe in God and not what you see around you. Just try to keep your head out of the clouds.

The point of the video? Dressing up in a costume is a de-facto way of making the point to show that the story is made up. As casual ASU onlookers walked by, they easily (and correctly) pointed out all the holes in the story, and why the crazy guy who really believes this story got confused when they started interjecting his points.

Prince - the plan fact is your an unrepentant sinner. If you were living your life to please God and had submitted yourself to Jesus Christ then you would have rightfully defended Brother Jed instead of scoffing at him and bringing your buddy "Normal" Bob to make fun of Christ. Your just as guilty as Bob for not calling him out for his mocking of God. Mock and Scoff all you want Prince - the sad truth is your a rebellious sinner who hates the very God who loves you.
