Ayutthaya, Thailand Flood Emergency, October 12th, 2011 Part 1

The pictures that are displayed here are of the flood presently going on in Ayutthaya Thailand. Most of the central city area is nearly underwater and power has been disconnected in the area due to a few deaths that occurred from electrocution. Many of the residence that have not evacuated are getting around by boat or raft, and basically anything they can get their hands on. Many of the ancient temples around Ayutthaya city are also nearly underwater.

I had luch at that Lotus almost every day. My thoughts and prayers go out to the good people I met on my 3 month stay in Ayutthaya.
