If we truly belived in the real presence, we should receive on the tounge while kneeling.

I'm sorry to her your attending Church that they have these Eucharistic Minsters this why I attend Traidtional Latin Mass only.

@quantumystery The blessed sacrament only remains the body and blood of Christ until it looses the appearance of bread and wine. So once your stomach digests it. It no longer looks like bread and wine so it is no longer the body of Christ. so when you go to the bathroom what is coming out is NOT the blessed sacrament!

I still receive on the tongue, but my children were taught to receive on the hand and now have become comfortable it. I would like them to receive on the tongue, but some of our Eucharistic Ministers do not make this easy.  When I went up to receive communion this weekend, I was one of the very few to receive on the tongue. It was clear that the Eucharistic Minister was uncomfortable with this and he almost dropped the Eucharist! I think they need to train them to be ready for both.

I have been always puzzled why in countries like USA the communion is given on hand, but it is exactly because people became so lazy that they do not want to kneel. Abolishing kneeling has nothing to do with improving flaw of the mass. There are still countries in the world where communion is given in the mouth, and nobody makes a problem out of it. And , believe it or not, masses are shorter. Go figure.

Receive the Eucharist on your tongue, swallow it, digest it. In a day or two flush what's left down the toilet.

It's too holy to touch with our hands. The tinest fragment can save 1000 souls. But it's okay to flush it down the crapper? Does that make sense?
