  • I have Asthma and I fight forest fires. Asthma isn't going to stand in the way of my life and who are you to say what someone with asthma is or isn't allowed to do?

  • That's why there are little things called Inhalers!

  • @DorvellTStewart-you can take those and still have an attack. my sister has asthma and there are times that she still has attacks.

  • September 19th 1989 was months before i was born

  • Football is a plain dangerous sport. I don't know why people always act shocked when these things happen. Yes, it's tragic. Would I wish it on anyone? No. But look how the fans in the stadium reacted. This incident appears to have incited a mini-mass hysteria. This is football, people! It's an injury-prone sport.

  • @OneSkiWonder I think you're very right. I'm a sprinter with sports asthma and even with my inhaler I breathe harder than anyone on my track team or gym class. I want to do so well in track. I will not quit and not even this problem will stop me from trying my best.

  • @DorvellTStewart Sometimes those little things called inhalers don;t work or are lower than people realize and need a refill

  • Asthma or not, a hard blow to the cheast can stop any heart - even the strongest hearts. You learn that when taking first aid classes.

  • @DorvellTStewart What is an inhaler going to do about cardiac arrest? Even if the kid had asthma, severe bronchoconstriction wouldn't come on that fast (the time that he was under the pile) nor was it long enough that it would have stopped his heart. It is unfortunate but hypoxia isn't what often causes young hearts to stop, it is either undiagnosed cardiac malformation or electrolyte imbalance.

  • @TrendyCoolGirl10 Cardiac arrest is when your heart stops beating.

  • Whats cardiac arest is that asma cause i hav asthma

  • I'd rather be red than dead? Yeah, if those were my options, so would I.
