ANZAC Day (25th April) is not about glorifying war. It'ss about honouring ordinary Australians who were sent to do extraordinary things.
The government has finally admitted that Australia is in recession. Unemployment will therefore rise further and as a result, a continued, strong economic stimulus will be necessary. Opposition disagrees. Another group of asylum seekers in a boat heading to Australia has been intercepted by the Navy. Hugh Jackman is the second Australian to have the handprints and footsteps outside the Chinese theatre.
