The Hancock #128 of Ashburnham, Massachusetts at the antique hand tub muster in Newbury on July 31, 2010. The Hancock won the B Class.
This is a muster held under the rules of the New England States Veteran Firemen's League. It is a competition to see which machine and crew can throw the longest stream of water. These are hand pumped fire engines that date back to the mid 19th century. This is historic preservation for people who like to get dirty and sweaty. We are keeping alive the oldest organized sport in the United States!
This is a two camera clip thanks to my friend Steve Spencer, who came along to see his first muster.
