Very important: Jackson's version of the story is radically different from Mahawansa.
The obvious suggestion is that biological father of Aba is Yakka! (Chittaraja?!). Which makes clear why the 10 uncles want to kill him; because if he becomes king (which he has a right) he would kill all Singhas. This is also why the country men(yakka) dies to protect this prince; because he will end the singha(from india) ruling!

why dont they make a movie about the cities in ancient sri lanka, about hte sophisitcated irrigation system, the buildings, the temnples, fortresses etc
