Lincolnway SRAs Track & Field team competes in Special Olympics Illinois. The Track & Field program is open to individuals 8 years old and up, with a wide range of abilities.

Be part of our race walkers, power runners, or pentathletes. Race walkers and runners can compete in short distances like the 50m race, all the way up to long distance events like the 1600m race. You can also compete in field events such as the long jump, high jump, and shot put.

There are also events including wheelchair races, gait-trainer races, plus other assisted track and field events.

Practices and track meets versus other teams help build stamina, strength, and quickness in order to prepare for the Area Track Meet.

A gold medal at the Area Track Meet will qualify an athlete to represent LWSRA at the Special Olympics Illinois State Summer Games held at Illinois State University.
