Open Doek

Op 29 april, tijdens de premiere van zijn laatste film 'Z32', nodigt Open Doek op het filmfestival in Turnhout (24/4 - 3/5) Avi Mograbi uit. Deze bekende Israëlische regisseur van onder meer Avenge but One of my Two Eyes (2006) gaat het explosieve en delicate onderwerp - het Israëlisch-Palestijnse conflict - niet uit de weg en zal na de film vragen beantwoorden van het publiek.

This is Jewishness as I see it: Difference. Recognizing difference, ours and theirs; conjuring up from the depths of our collective consciousness the memory that once upon a time we were a minority, marginal. Outsiders, but not only: also people who by virtue of their place in the world beget great cultural assets for all.
