I would like to know what kind of glue that you used to make the mat more sticky. Also, what was the green mat that you used in the cuddle bug?

@vpritchard56 I used a Zig 2 Way Glue (jumbo tip) It takes some time to put on and the good thing is that it goes on blue and when the glue is dry it turns clear. I always let it sit for at least 1 day so that it is completely dry. I'm sure it only takes a few hours but I rather be safe.
The green mat that you asked about came with my Cuttlebug. It is the "A" Spacer. I haven't seen honeycomb looking spacers either, but it came with it and works perfect.
