ROCK HARD September issue features exclusive OPETH Live CD + new single „The Devil's Orchard"!

The September issue of ROCK HARD magazine will include a big cover story and worldwide exclusive live CD by OPETH that won't be available at record stores. „The Devil's Orchard - Live At Rock Hard Festival" is an outstanding recording made in 2009, when the Swedish Progressive Metal stars stunned the audience with an awesome performance at the amphitheatre in Gelsenkirchen/Germany.

Holger Stratmann, ROCK HARD publisher, comments the five songs with a total playing time of more than 50 minutes: „OPETH are among the most important contemporary Metal bands -- and after that extensive US tour, they were really able to strut their stuff. That was certainly one of the best performances ever in the history of our festival."

The track list of „Live At Rock Hard Festival":

Heir Apparent (Watershed)
Ghost Of Perdition (Ghost Reveries)
The Leper Affinity (Blackwater Park)
Hessian Peel (Watershed)
Deliverance (Deliverance)

The CD also includes the first single from the long-awaited studio album „Heritage", "The Devil's Orchard". „With their new studio release „Heritage", the band opens a totally new and exciting chapter. This record will be a hot topic", Stratmann considers the consequences of the fact that OPETH allowed a lot of 70s sounds to influence their work.

„Heritage" will be released by Roadrunner Records on September 20. The September issue of ROCK HARD will be available at newsstands as of August 24.

You can order the issue directly at the publishing company here: versand@rockhard.de

„OPETH gehören zu den wichtigsten zeitgenössischen Metal-Bands und waren nach einer umfangreichen US-Tour in absoluter Top-Form. Das war sicher einer der besten Auftritte in der Geschichte des Festivals", kommentiert ROCK HARD-Herausgeber Holger Stratmann die fünf Songs mit einer Spieldauer von über 50 Minuten.

  • @jonizzzzzzzzzzz

So, what you are saying is that "real fans" like everything that a band releases? You really like to think that everyone who simply doesn't like Heritage is not as "open minded" as you and can "fuck off". Hahahahah. How about it is as simple as this: Some people might just actually dislike the album, while being a "real fan". Deal with it.

  • GOD IS DEAD

  • @wedonttastetheair

    Bad trolling.

  • @Kaktushaukka Totally agree. Im a huge Opeth fan. I love metal, blues, prog, jazz, classical, loads. I didnt like Heritage. Not becuase it isnt metal, but it just wasnt what i like, too much atonality, discord and 70s cod experimental. Porcupine Tree are up to date prog/experimental. Opeth are just trying to rehash 70s experimental to find their musical souls. We cant all like every branching. Im sure they will continue to change and put out albums we will love, like or hate!

  • @jonizzzzzzzzzzz No of course not, only people that like Heritage understands Opeth, not the people who've listened to the band for the last nine albums. Oy -.-

  • " Psychedelic " is the word he was looking for, this is some psychedelic shit >:D embrace it.

  • I don't listen to much metal anymore - I was into early Scorpions and Judas Preist - all i know is that when I heard The Devil's Orchard I said "WHO THE F-K IS THAT? THAT"S F-IN' INCREDIBLE!" I'd never heard anything like it. ANYTHING.

  • @TJGuitarVids wooo thats harsh

  • @Kaktushaukka no you're just a fucking idiot. and can go die. heritage is fan-fuckingtastic and you clearly can't comprehend it's awesomeness!
