    This is one of the best scenes in the whole series. I wish they had included more such scenes showing the off-duty-side of the characters.

    Its not that, its that the federation uses this "Exploration" starship for military missions. Missions of all types even. I suppose that's because it is the most advanced ship.

    I guess even if the future humans still have things to learn... ;-)
