UC Berkeley Affirmation

September 27th- UC Berkeley College Republicans hold an anti-affirmative action "bake sale," charging different prices based on ethnicity and gender in order to show the "reverse discrimination" of affirmative action policies.

Others counter-demonstrated and showed solidarity with marginalized and underrepresented communities.

Elsewhere, students had organized their own demonstration--and affirmation of themselves and of the struggle of marginalized communities to gain access to and attain higher education.

At the strike of noon, the demonstrators fell to the ground.
