Riding an old, ugly, run-down elevator (it probably use to be an Otis) in the Gorman Science Building at Mott Community College, in Flint, MI.

  • I cannot believe this elevator is 10 years old, and looks run down.

  • Well, the Schindler fixtures are from the late 1990's or early 2000's, but the cab is from the early 1960's. It hasn't really been refinished over the years (which it could use some). I thought it was dumb on their part to install the newer fixtures/controls (door, indicator, floor buttons) but not put a new surface to the cab.

  • Schindler could have done a better job by replacing the cab as well, even if I am against modernizations.
