I wouldn't build this up too much, anyone can get read. Have you done something other than write some dialogue down? After 10 years you should at least have an animatic of the entire thing, ready to show. Really, your goal should be to show some of your sample animation and with your script convince people that they should hire you on to work on an existing project. There is work out there, you need to convince people to let you be a part of that existing work. This town needs team players.
