D2X 042608 MATA Fusion Dance Competition Champion

Hi there,

We're D2X (Dance 2 the eXtreme), a small dancing group from Melaka. We entered this MATA Fusion dance competition at Melaka Mall where we were required to fuse together traditional and modern dance elements.

We actually knew about this competition about 4 days before its being held and we were preparing for another competition in the afternoon on the same day. So we used half the dance in from the afternoon competition and finished the other half in practically one day.

It was our first time joining a competition requiring traditional elements. Considering the time constraint and our inexperience, I would say we were really blessed to have won 1st in this competition =) We also managed 1st in our competition in the afternoon at SMK Notre Dame.

Winning twice in a day was really a wonderful experience (all of us went crazy after that), but before that we had many days with only 3-4 hours of sleep. We like to thank all those that supported us throughout the dances =)

I don't understand, we wear a mask and that means we're copying prepix? come on there are so many other groups using masks too, prepix was not the first.

I could understand if you say we're copying prepix in our previous dance, but in this one? so i saw ur dance and ur wearing hoodies, gloves and dancing to the song "apologize" does that mean you guys bite from jabbawockees too?

right...wearing masks is copying prepix..

why not say we copy jabbawockees? prepix only danced ONE routine with a mask, while jabbawockees danced EVERY routine with masks.

or better still, why not say jabbawockees copied of prepix?
