It’s pretty tough to beat the Maryinsky corps de ballet in this section. The RB corps acquit themselves admirably though.

You know, I have to disagree with the people describing this as perfection. In fact, I was surprised to see this was the Royals, who actually keep their corps members in the 5'2" to 5'8" range so they can look so unified. In the "walk the plank" part of the scene, they are not all going into arabesque together, although by the time they get to the allongees, they're in synch. I have seen lots better from both them and even smaller companies. Remember, they called this "Makarova's miracle" at ABT

This is were the training & discipline really do's show...in a scene of this quality....one wrong move from just one of those gals & the whole lot go's....one of the most relaxing / soothing dance scenes one could wish for..!.....Thanks for posting.....
