  • I've had this since I was born. It sucks! I got frostbite on my right hand during high school tennis practice when it was 40 degrees outside. I saved most of the tissue, but there's a small spot that lost all of the nerves. I have extensive nerve damage on most of my fingers (metal working doesn't help).

The time period where my skin goes white only lasts for a few minutes, then goes straight to blue, then purple splotches, then black. I had it go past my fingers tonight, up to my wrists.

  • Raynauds suck! when i went to wolfridge for school during the winter we spent like 90% of our time outside in the freezing weather and my hands turned this really dark purple blackish color and they were super painful and my chaperone freaked out and its just really embarassing always having purple or red cold hands! i take an iodine supplement but it doesnt really do anything, does anyone know of anything else to help us peopel who have raynauds? w/o moving......:)

  • @ArtseyGurl Sometimes the slightest temp drop from switching to a colder room will trigger that. I've had reynauds for bout 10 yrs . Sit on your hands when they get cold while your in class. Your own body heat will warm them up. Thats how I get mine to warm up.
