Born in the South as a white man I've been around a lot of racism. It amazes me how Obama is able to keep a mature attitude given the prejudice displayed from both sides of the fence. His speech really struck a chord with me. I'm finding it difficult to ignore ownership with the issue of race. I know it isn't likely worth much;however, I want to offer my apology for past actions. God bless the African American population for their struggle toward true equality. I'm willing to change Obama.

The Black Panther party was created because of racial injustice carried out by law enforcement and the criminal justice system. You make it sound like it is anti-white organization designed to torture and impede the civil rights of white people in America, which is not the case. The Black Panther party created after school programs, provided shelter, provided medical care assistance, and mentoring programs for poor inner-city black youth.

But why is that always the reply with Obama in regards to race? People say, "I don't care if Obama is white, black, or blue, I don't like his policies." What it does is that shrugs off or dismisses the issue of race in our society. Public policies of the Democratic Party is what Obama uses and people can't ignore that the fact that a strong majority of white oppose them, people of color oppose his policies, but it is a small percentage.
