Not even the very greatest violinists are able to match this performance. The Grumiaux sound is meant to be connected with Mozart. This rendition shall always be the example for any violinist.

This is a really nice performance. I like how Grumiaux makes the solos his own, but without making it about him. Soloist and the conductor work well together here. Colin Davis has given us some of the best performances of Mozart.
