Spotting at the Flying W Airport
Lumberton, New Jersey
Sunday March 13, 2011

This video contains a day full of spotting, consisting of activity between 10:00 am and 2:00 PM at the Flying W Airport during a special "Dust Off the Rust" fly-in, hosted by the Red Star Northeast Raiders Airshow Team. Included here are the usual suspects you will see at the Flying W, including N867SP and N757AD. You will see a LOT of activity with regards to the formation fly-in I just described, as well as a few other aircraft I hope you notice and take note on. There would be more video from this day, but the high crosswinds forced an early end for the flying portion of the event. The four-ship flight you saw takeoff did indeed return to the W, but I did not get video.

It should also be noted that towards the end of the video, one absolutely GORGEOUS young lady got to go flying in a Piper Archer (N397WN), and you will see her Archer flight depart from the W. Enjoy, as this video is available in HIGH DEFINITION.

If you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take the time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .

  • Great video! How long did it take you to render this geez!

  • holy crap. That 152 at 16:00 was having a hard time

  • @aaron8862006 No, takeoffs are far more interesting. You can hear the roar of the engine and you get to see the plane come to life.

  • Nice!

  • Next time, hit the approach end! ;) Takeoffs are dull. Landings are interesting!
