  • For those with bricks for ears:note she is getting distinctly different tones with her left hand. That recquires sublime technique and a special touch.Note the melody and spacial awereness too. In order to get these distinct tones one must have subtle control. She is deeper than you could even imagine.

Use your head for something other than a hat rack please.

  • Sublime technique, says it all.

  • I wish we had a longer piece with Susie Ibarra, a really deep player. We'll try for some in the future.

  • thats a very strange looking kitchen.

  • She's one of the judges for the "Hit Like a Girl 2012 Drumming Contest for Women."

  • She's Just Look like cooking for no reason! ^_^

  • she's no Travis Barker, thats for sure

  • Here is her playing with her quartet. Amazing feel, great chops.

Look up "Ibarra Quartet and Makoto Fujimura at Le Poisson Rouge (Part 1) "

  • @mmaier2112 Seriously. I don't doubt there's technique behind this 4 second video, but I'm not blown away. Maybe the burden of musical misunderstanding is upon *me* but most of her videos sound like a raccoon on angel dust knocking around a ceramic-ware shop in the dark.... I'll entertain that she's talented, and I just haven't seen enough, but most of these comments are blown out any genuine proportion... Cheers.

  • BOSS

  • great dynamics!

  • yeah more vids of her playing please, shes killer.

  • Good control and innovative use of those mallets. But video is a little too short though :(
