  • I like the black ones. Cool and slick. Reminds me of my black leather men's dress shoes. Nice fish and tank! ;)

  • the pet stores in my area suck. why does everybody on youtube have pet stores that carry better quality kois!!! >_<

  • @haggerstonboy Yes those Fish can live together quite happily. I have had Goldfish in my Tank with the Koi before, but they grew surprisingly large so I had to put them in the Pond, where they live happily alongside Koi about 10 times their size :D

I was just lucky enough that my local Pet Shop had quite a lot of Mirror Carps for sale along with Koi, but they do seem quite difficult to get hold of I must admit. If you cant get them, then just get maybe 4 Koi and 2 Goldfish :)

  • @davo614 hi there thank you for your help and advice. i have set up my tank and am currently waiting a week before i introduce any fish. on a different note i could use your view on another issue, my tank is smaller than yours however i plan to have much fewer fish. ideally i want to put in 3 koi carp, 2 mirror carp and 1 goldfish.. do you think these species can live together in a tank and also i have no idea where to get mirror carp. do you have any recomendations?? where did you get yours

  • @haggerstonboy When you first set up the tank and fill it with Water, make sure to leave it running for a week or so before adding any Fish. Have the Filters and Air pumps going to circulate the water. Thats what I did at the beginning.

Its important to do weekly water changes from there on, to keep the harmful Nitrites down. You can get water testing strips to check this. Another thing, is that no matter how good a tank is, you need a lot of luck with Fish. Some last 20 years or 20 days.

  • @davo614 hello, i was wondering whether you can help i am trying to set up a tank for koi carp however i am a little concerned as to how to do it properly, in the past i had some bad experiences, so i'm hoping since you have such a beautiful example in the video here, could you give me some pointers on what to do like a breakdown of instructions? my main problem is what you have to do to the water? because a lot of my fish became ill and stop swimming? i would really appreciate your help.

  • @Toxic11Waste Yep, that wont be a problem. I have an absolutely massive Pond :D

  • @Mr720p Indeed Mr720p, I completely forgot to inform you of this delightful video of mine, and yes, that is a Bird in the background :D

The noisy devil did not like me filming the Fish, and wanted all the attention on him, therefore whistled during my filming.

I took away his Seed for 5 minutes as punishment. A lesson learnt, Mr Cockatiel.

  • Never seen this before! =[]

    Lovely fish.

Is that a bird I hear in the background as well old boy? :D
