How to do Text Boxes in Word or Works

I have sent you a email.

But if you right click the outside edge of the text box, it takes you into the settings to format its appearance, since you can have fancy ones\thick\thin you have nothing selected at the moment. Also, you 'fill' the text box.

Usually by default the box outside lines need to be de-selected.

i know how to make a text box but i cant get it to print the lines it just prints the text. Im doing a flowchart and i need the boxes to print and the text. I tried it the same way you would print gridlines but couldnt find it
