The technique of filming in front of a green screen is known green screen compositing. The technique of making the green background transparent is known as Chromakeying. We show you how to superimpose one video clip on top of another using Chromakeying and Masks.

  • Love u man ... Thanks very much I have been searching for this dam thing ....

  • Thank you very much... You're a lifesaver.. :D

  • If you tried this with X2 it would probably crash every 10 seconds. Have never worked with X3 but X4 which I use quite a lot seems to run much better

  • @sukhishonta Both images can be moving, but parts that are exposed to non-chroma key backrounds will have that part from the green screen video showing.

  • can you make a moving video in chrome key?

  • Does X4 have a way to replace a chroma key with a plain white or black background or do I need to make static images and put them on a layer? i.e.: simple click of chroma key (green) to replace green chroma key with just *any* color (or to enter an RGB/Hex code)?

  • i just did

  • @BlueFoxVisualMedia Don't advert you idiot
