This is actually by Don Drummond jr. and was the b side to the single the Clash and Spacials go to jail, which had nothing to do with either band. It was released on Rush Records in 1980. the 12" had a dub version of the song which is well worth a listen.

What a coincidence! I also have this song and it's issued as being from The Specials and the Clash. I also doubt that they had anything to do with this song. If someone's sure about the original artist/band please tell me

this doesn't sound anything like either band, but the trombone solo sounds like Rico Rodriguez, the guy who played trombone for The Specials. Perhaps it may remain a mystery for ever:P.
