you can just tell that Mr. Hartsell R.I.P. is one who exhibits absolute humility and great character, he was the real deal, as a human bieng and as a martial artist, no bullshit from him. I wish I could have traind with him.

what a great video, thanks for posting this one - and he shows what real men do... he was beaten up by Bruce Lee and became his student, not his envious foe. Too bad I missed his seminar in the late 1990s as he came to Italy. RIP

You know, what really comes across in these interviews is the humility of these gentlemen!

I used to train a lot with Sifu Larry after meeting and training with him in Ft Worth in the Mid 80's. I was interested because I had years of grappling and at that time he was getting the JKD Grappling Assoc going....one of the few arts that REALLY blended grappling with everything else from striking to weapons. I especially hit all his training sessions in the MidWest until I returned to Dallas. He was an AWESOME teacher. I went on to focus on Silat, but He was really great. RIP

The place where Sifu Hartsell and Randy White took those pictures was at our school. (Crows Martial Arts Academy) You can see the group picture of Dan, Larry, Steve, and Sifu/Guro Crow in the back ground on the wall.

One of the greatest. R.I.P.
Just putting it out there, this amazing Sifu has a bunch of JKD books.
These books are great catalysts and series.

@blutobelushi yeah i just found out he died five minutes ago. I never knew Sifu Hatsell, but he helped to promote the growth of Jeet Kune DO and Martial Arts in General. Thank You Sifu Larry Hartsell

I still miss him and still think of the man every day. It would have been cool for him to see my son beating everyone in grappling tournaments utilizing Sifu Larry's stuff. He would have been proud.
R.I.P Sifu Larry Hartsell.
