Miniature Colt Model 1900. This is an exact replica in half size. Requiring over 1 year to complete, this pistol is complete down to the bore rifling. It is a fully functional miniature including live ammunition and has been test fired. This pistol, as well as many others, was built by retired Indianapolis Police Officer Raymond E. Hutchens. It was featured in the book "Scale Model Firearms" by Joseph D. Kramer.

  • I'm willing to bet if you measured the bullets they'd be .19" (half of .38") Is the barrel rifled too?

  • @taofledermaus Yes, the barrel is rifled. I dont have a screwdriver small enough to remove the grips to see the rest of the details, but Im working on it. My Brownells 120 tip screwdriver set does not go that small, lol.

theres one of those manual CNC machines exactly like that at my buddies job.

It's got a electro magnetic base.

FYI need you a new set of cotton gloves :P

  • @ganymedeIV4 yeah, I noticed that too, those gloves need to go thru the wash! lol

    Thanks for watching!!!

  • Very nice peace. Thanks for sharing. The bullets dont looks like dummy rds like so many others. Are they live rounds?

With something like this, that's totally one of a kind, I think the price is simply whatever somebody's willing to pay.

  • Just a few words to tell you that an interesting downloadable ebook on this model (technical and historic aspects) is available at HLebooks.com.

  • Porobably a present for the guys son in 1900. Back then they let kids smoke too. Hehehe.
