@patriot7896 No revolution has ever succeeded w/ widespread inarticulate dissatisfaction. Witness France and the US in 1968: 2/3 of French workers went on strike; massive demonstrations; insubstantial reforms resulted. In the US? Millions in protests, 20+ cities set under martial law after widespread riots; few reforms. A concerted, intellectual vanguard w/ a clear vision for reform must spearhead any massive policy overhaul. That mantle belongs to Progressives & Libertarians alike.

As an american, I have been saying that the real problems of this country stem from a spiritual sickness. We have long since stooped to preying upon other nations and upon our own. Half the people in this society are assholes who will risk someone else's life to save themselves two seconds on their trip to work in the morning. That shows spiritual sickness and depravity. There are still a lot of good people here but nothing like it was when I was a child. Spiritual decline comes first.
