Far, far away from almost anybody is a land called Chukotka, nine time zones east of Moscow, separated from Alaska by the Bering Strait. It welcomes few outsiders as even Russians need special permit to visit. Cukotka made the world new in 2000 when billionaire Roman Abramovich was elected its governor and has since poured millions of his own money into the region. Why? Icelandic filmmaker, geophysicist and photographer got a permit to visit and the documentary gives some answers and insight into the lives of "Abramovich's people".
