I was raised Christian Science........... I stopped going to that church at 18 when I became a legal adult. In Jan 2005, my mother died because of her refusal to seek medical attention. It was a treatable condition that she allowed to fester because she believed only prayer would heal her. My father has since left the Christian Science church.

This was very helpful to me. I went to a Christian Scientist Church about 4 weeks ago & it was very strange. To say that Jesus never died is in complete opposition to what the bible really says about Jesus. Jesus did die & saved us from all of our sins.

Thanks for bringing this issue to peoples attention to warn them. I am an excatholic myself and I was mixed up in the new age. I was a big fan of a particular Christian Science book called 'The Game of Life and How to Play it' by Florence Scovel Shinn (who I believe may have been influenced by Mary Baker Eddy). Having now come to know the true Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord I now see that such teachings are complete heresy, they twist the scriptures and are an insult to the living God.

Yea, this religion is designed to set people up for a fall. To refuse medical care that the LORD provides is "to put our God to the test." Years ago there was a case in the news about a family who lost a young son because they refused to have him treated for cancer. Our daughter has Autism & Diabetes, so if this was "my religion" - I'd be "loosing it," so to speak.
Im an Ex-Christian Scientist of 18 years (born into it) and these guys are right.
Christian Science has a counterfeit Jesus and God. They do not believe in the Incarnation of Christ, the Trinity, Sin, Heaven/Hell and all core principle of Christianity.
