Adobe Flash 10.1 GPU Acceleration Test

I show the results of watching a 1080p video on youtube using adobe flash 10 and 10.1 to show the improvements that have been made. My pentium d struggles with 1080p video, but thanks to this update, I don't have to worry about that anymore.

Do you know why my laptop can use this GPU acceleration feature for flash videos? I have the Sony Vaio SZ650 with flash 10.2.152.32 plugin installed. 1080p runs smoothly when I have the Intel GMA X3100 selected but not when I use the GeForce 8400m. Could it be driver related because I downloaded my drivers from laptopnvidia2go.

I have a Pentium D 915 2.8GHz running at 3.5GHz and i get up to %90 when running 1080p in you tube I also have the GTX 470 with 2Gb of ram and there is still a bit of jitter in video play back i know i kind of chep for using a Pen D with a gtx 470 but thats all I had for now till i get my q9550

I don't know, it worked for me perfectly fine as you can see in the video. I don't have the pentium d anymore so I can't tell you current impressions

better get the q9550 quick, I'm sure that gtx 470 is dying for a new cpu

keep in mind that it's 5 years old

not everyone can afford to upgrade every six months

@anonymous345 agree with you ... the problem is from intel your cpu is not suited to fetch send decode gpu information so you will never be able to use gpu acceleration at it max power

@BDKsoft intel mistake your cpu doesn't call for gpu acceleration,i have the same card paired with phenom 2 and in full screen 1080 i get 5% cpu usage.

@unid3ntifi3d i have x3 720 be and 5770 (latest drivers always installed 0 my cpu usage in full screen 1080 is just 5% and YES GPU ACCELERATION IT DOES WORK

and the answer for your problem is 8400m has no acceleration just only 8 cuda cores is equal with 0000000 and The X3100 display unit includes a 300 MHz RAMDAC, two 25–112 MHz LVDS transmitters, 2 DVO encoders, and a TV encoder. In addition, the hardware supports DirectX 10.0,[3] Shader Model 3.0 and OpenGL 1.5 = much better
