Sean south

Sen South was a Leader of an IRA Military column. He was born in Limerick. He was badly wounded when he and other IRA Men were attempting to storm a Royal Ulster Constabulary in County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland. The paln was a a failure and it resulted in defeat for the IRA men. Sean south was among the Dead after he was Wounded. He was 27 years old when he was Killed. He spoke Irish and was a memeber also of An Rialt. His death casued a great amount of remorse thorughout the Republic and Hist Uncle ra a pub called W J Souths in Limerick until a few years ago

@lovepogues You are right. At my age and still alive, I have not proven that I would die for my friend, but during troubles, I have proven the WILLINGNESS to die for my friend a few times. As for Ireland, and when I look at the map of the world - I only see one country. But then I say, "The Irish are so grand that they couldn't possibly live without two languages and two currencies. ;-) But now I try NOT to die for a great cause, but to live for one. Culture cannot be stopped by any border!

my granda is buried next to sean south in the republican plot in limerick..if he could see what the government were doin he get out of his grave and execute them himself..what a joke
