Chapter 23 Part 2
Denise: Oh, your right let me get the cameraI think its in the kitchen. *as she leaves the room the doorbell rings*
Rachel:*she walks to the door and slowly opens it* Hi. *she smiles widely*
Brian:*smiles* Hi. You look amazing.
Rachel:*quietly* You can come in. I think Denise is going to insist on pictures even though its beyond embarrassing.
Denise:*as if on que* Come in here you two, I have to take pictures.
Rachel:*whispers* Here we go.
Brian:*chuckles* Come it wont be that bad. *he grabs her hand and they walk into the living room*
Denise: Stand by the door.
Rachel:*lets out an exasperated sigh*
*Luckily for Rachel, the boys went into the kitchen, so the embarrassment was minimal. Denise took like 20 pictures and finally claimed she was done. Mainly because the cameras memory was full.*
Rachel:*Brian starts to open the door* Brian, Ill meet you outside, I need to grab my jacket and bag from the other room.
Brian:*smiles* Okay Ill be in the car.
Rachel: Alright.
*Brian walks out and shuts the door behind him, Rachel runs full speed to Nicks room to get her stuff. She makes sure she has her makeup, cell phone, money, and anything else she might need, grabs her jacket and runs back into the kitchen.*
Rachel:*catching her breath* Alright I have everything, Im going to go.
Denise:*hugs her goodbye* Have fun sweetie.
Paul:*hugs her* Be careful. *Rachel smiled, because he is like a father to her*
Kevin:*hugs her* Call if you need anything.
Nick:*hugs her* Yeah, what they said.
Rachel:*laughs, teasing* You are so original, Nick.Im just kidding. *smiles*
Joe:*hugs her and whispers* You look beautiful, Rachel. *she pulls back and smiles, out loud* Have fun, Rachel.
Rachel: Thank guys, but I really have to go now. *she leaves and closes the door behind her*
*Rachel slowly walks down the sidewalk and gets into Brians car. She smiles and she shuts the door and buckles her seatbelt. She looks over at Brian and he has a smile on his face.*
Brian: Ready?
Rachel:*nods and he starts the car and drives to the school, they get out and Rachel hears someone call her name, she turns around*
?:RACHEL!!!
Rachel: SARAH!!! *Rachel and Sarah run up and hug each other, while Brian and Jake stand near by laughing at their dates (in a non-mean way)*
Sarah: Rachel, you look gorgeous. The hair completes the look.
Rachel:*laughs* Thanks. Denise did it for me. You look awesome too.
Sarah: Well, its official. We are definitely commissioning her to do our hair for prom.
Rachel: Lets just get through Homecoming first. *they link arms and turn toward the boys who are talking*
Sarah: You guys coming. If not I am perfectly fine with just having Rachel as my date.
Rachel:*laughs* Come on guys.
*The foursome enter the school and find a table to set their stuff. They all go to the dance floor and dance, fast songs, slows songs, whatever plays. They are all have a lot of fun.*
Rachel:*out of breath, kind of shouting, leaning into Brians ear* Im tired, Im going to go get a drink and sit for a little while.
Brian: Ill come with you.
Rachel: Oh, you dont have to, you can keep having fun.
Brian: I want to. *smiles & Rachel smiles back*
*He put a hand on her back and lead her to the drink table. They sat down at the table that had their stuff on it, each with a water bottle. Brian watched everyone dance while Rachel checked her phone, she had one new text. When she read it she smiled.*
Brian: Whos it from?
Rachel: It was from Nicks mom but it said Have Fun and it was signed Frankie.
Brian:* tilts his head and looks at Rachel* Frankie??
Rachel: Nicks little brother. Hes 8 and weve been best friends since about 2 hours after I met him. *laughs* He is so adorable.
Brian: So are you?
Rachel: I am I what?
Brian:*smiles* Having fun?
Rachel:*smiles* Oh. Yeah, Im having a lot of fun. Im glad you asked me. I probably wouldnt have come, I would want to be a 3rd wheel with Sarah & Jake.
Brian: Too much flirting?
Rachel: Oh yeah! Theyve been dating for like 7 months, youd think they would be past that phase. But Im not big on PDA either.
Brian:*nods, is about to speak when the principal begins to speak into the microphone on stage*
