i have been shooting for about 3 months and accepted how one person at the shop set my bow up. Although wrong, I was in a haste to compete in the line up of competitions and adapted to it. In this video, I am aware my draw length is short and the best point of reference for me at this time was my chin. It worked quite well. However, i did finally go into the shop so they could fix their error on setting me on a short draw length. I received my new cams. My bow is now set at 26".

A quick video of me, Yogi, at the King Arthur's Court Archery Tournament held by San Diego Archers at Balboa Park Archery Field. I placed 3rd in women's bowhunter freestyle category. Fellow archers I shot with knew of my LuckyYogi YouTube page and offered to give me their footage to be added in a video. Until I receive those...here's a quick sweet video.
Scoring:
11 points for bulls eye
10 points for inner circle
8 points anywhere else on the target
.....with that said, I shot 11 points on the 70 yard target.
I shoot a Left Handed Mathews Passion Compound Bow with a draw weight of 47lbs.
The shirt I am wearing is Performance Archery. wwwdotperformancebowhuntingdotcom. Check out their website. They're located off of Miramar Rd. Awesome store and service. There is a shooting range within the store. My buddy, Scott, who works at the shop asked if I'd wear the shirt for the competition and all they had was a large, I'm a small. I said hells yes I will and went artsy on the shirt :).

  • ur in sd? sick me too, great vids btw! is this like in balboa park under that one bridge that leads to the big fountain by the "casa del prado" it looks like that place

  • @CORPORATELECTROO Yep that's it! Do you shoot at Morley? I gotta get back to my program and shooting there everyday. Haven't sighted my bow with the new cams.

  • Now that you're bow is set right 4 you, is it more comfortable 4 you to shoot?

  • @ahanaks I was quite frustrated getting a new anchor point and setting up my marks. I stopped shooting for 2 months due to frustration was out of town. I did however go to the shop last night and had my buddy who competes in the paralympics and my buddy who works at the shop help me out. I was learning this all over again. I feel better now and really happy I extended my draw length as everyone kept bugging me about ;)

  • just a little tip u need to straighten out ur arm that is holding the bow ..when u have a bent arm like that u will not get constant shots

  • @dharampalramnauth hahha you are not the first to ask me or give me a tip on this. i have now posted a description. but definitely thanks for the support and looking out for me to be better. very cool.

  • @LuckyYogi

I am also left eye dominant, and right handed.

I've only been to Balboa Park's range once, but that place is huge. I love it. Funny how I never knew about that place until recently. Congrats on all your placements (3rd and 2nd). Wow.

  • that is one bad looking bow!

  • just think you'll be doing it 2 pretty soon, giving out advice to people just getting started lol.
