I've heard a couple of those Selmer shortShank mpc's on YouTube - they do sound almost excrutiatingly sublime .... (i.e. good). Tis now - how to get hold of such creature and try it with this 82 Z-UL (Tenor) which currently has a 7* Lebayle-which sounds too treble-y for me.

well, u can always use a different mouthpiece.. I use a vintage Selmer Soloist D Short Shank, and its one of the most beautiful sounds ive heard coming from a sax, if i do say so myself
-
I like the finger action of my Custom Z, but I wish I could get it to sound like this one, or a Selmer.
So far, no luck.

Wow, that is really nice improvising. But I agree with Saxophonist1990 that you need to take care with the beginning of your phrases to get rid of unwanted air.

hey nice job ur amazing :)

Or you could try a lower gauge reed :)

Me 2! And I love it! I also use an Otto Link Tone Master 8:) Used to use a Jody Jazz, changed to Otto Link just a couple of weeks ago, and so far I really enjoy my new setup!

But i use otto link 6* for mouthpiece
-
ahh i have a Yamaha Custom Z tenor

use your tounge to articulate your notes, especially first. Otherwise you get that unwanted air-sound.
Otherwise not bad
I know ur using a tenor, but what brand sax u got? I looks like a selmer.
