General Motors (GM) revealed its latest electric concept vehicle, the Opel Flextreme, at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Sept. 2007. Following its unveiling, the automaker has also launched a series of four webisodes that outline the making of the vehicle -- which was initially conceived at the GM Russelsheim Design Center. The shows also highlight GM's E-Flex system and provide information on the design cues that influenced the trademarked FlexDoors, as well as other vehicle features.
I have a few gripes with this video.
Firstly, my idea of the future isn't one where people don't care for their health. This car hardly promotes walking places by having a dedicated storage area for segways.
This video is the MANUFACTUERER'S dream of the future, consumerism! YAY! And we lap it up because they make it look so nice and shiney. What idiots we are.
PS. The car looks shit.

Good idea, but the range is not so hot, with 50 kilometres, but enough for the most people.
And the Diesel-generator enlarge the range for 700 kilometres, because the time for charge storage battery is too long.
I hope it's possible to buy the car and GM don't sell this car like EV1 to the oilcompanies.

Ireally like the look of this opel and the space for two segways is cool too.

go forward opel go. i never thought about to buy an opel, but the flextreme looks great and this hybrid concept should work. just skip the segways and make a normal back door, that's it.

I said MAJOR automakers for a reason. The Tesla has to look good but the others still don't take alt-energy seriously.
