The last time I saw this, I was like 4 or 5 and had no understanding of why people needed wheelchairs. I wanted to be in a wheelchair just so I could do all of the cool things this kid did. Now, at 31 years old, I obviously have a greater understanding of why some people need wheelchairs, a great respect for the courage and strength these people demonstrate, and a respect for Sesame Street in honoring diversity and adversity. This brought back memories!

I remember being jealous of the boy here because he could balance on two wheels and I couldn't do that in my wheelchair. Its an awesome awesome video; far superior to the newer animated version

It seems that a lot of people are finding fault with the way that "Sesame Street" is these days. I agree that is was much better once upon a time! Who knows, maybe it will improve again some day!

This is so much better than the animated remake because it shows a real boy in a wheelchair enjoying the wonder and beauty of life, not letting his handicap keep him from having fun with non-handicapped people. I personally see him as "handi-capable" more than handicapped because he's demonstrating that he can do just about anything a non-disabled person can do. 2 thumbs up!

My daughter has an elmo video that has the newer version of this. This one is a lot better. The new one is like a lil annoying kid singing and it's so bad.
