how about they record something with it and then play it back to us on a computer or something so we can actually hear what the quality is like?

The 1/4 inch tripod tread seems to be made in plastic --- this is not a durable product.

I CANNOT RECORD. I hit record the 2nd time & it appears to be recording, BUT NO bars for L & R showing up. (I had it set up to record standard large wave files) When I look at files it shows a wave, but when I play it back, there is NO sound. I put the memory card into my computer to look at the waves in Cool Edit Pro & the stereo tracks were EMPTY. I have read the manual 5 times. Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with my recorder?
