@xlaFax eh? The colour of the child is not only determined by the mother you know - the father is also a part of it! Plus this is a movie - half the time they pick kids that don't resemble the "parent" in any way! duh.

I think deep down Indu bears no animosity towards Rahul (when she accepted his gift and put the covers over him) however there are reminders everywhere of her husband's infidelity. That's not an easy thing to accept or forgive.
