No one was saying that the minority doesn't or shouldn't get representation. The rights of the minority are well know by the republicans you might remember the memo from Judd Greg reiterating the rights of the minority in congress. Of course the minority has to have it's voice heard and of course this is he way it should be. interestingly the neocon right don't think much of minority rights when the minority complain about the about the religious decorations at Christmas.
I do hope you realised you lost the Argument when you not very cleverly reminded us that healthcare was not ever mentioned in the constitution. You would have to Assume that had healthcare been something strictly forbidden it would have been mentioned in but in a derogatory fashion. Amongst the other things not in the constitution. Fire Services, Emergency Services, NASA, necessity for public road services and the police force. I want to see you argue that these services are unconstitutional.
Actually it is neither. It is neither a pure Democracy or a pure Republic I said it was a representative Democratic Republic. Republic in the sense that it has no King or Queen governing it and quite rightly of course. Democratic in the sense that the people get a public vote to decide who is the Commander and Chief. I don't suppose you would be too pleased if you didn't get a choice in who your representative(s) were.
America is not a democracy, it is a Republic. Watch the video on my channel. 51% of people CANNOT take the rights away of 49%. We have laws. This is no Europe. Read the Constitution. There is no "healthcare" mentioned anywhere.
To get the "Free" country you are looking for you could go to Somalia. That is the Democratic republic you are looking for. Cooperate America has destroyed the America of old. The American people want change. 56% of the American People want the Public Option despite the wealthy insurance company attacks on it. this should tell you that despite the lies about the public option it is still in the minds of the majority.
Why have there been zero political consequences for this guy? He's not a democrat or an independent. He's a republican and the democratic party should quit pretending he is with them on any issue.
How are you losing rights through national health care (a basic human right) sort of like that enjoyed by most other industrial nations?

Throw Joe out of the caucus.
Strip him of everything.
The country will be better off without him.

Well, the details are important.
What'll be interesting is that the people between 55-65 will probably be asked to pay some sort of premium fee for membership.
So while it adds new costs, it also adds new revenues.
