@dsukenick What I mean by he was a great actor was you believed him. You believed that he would really rape a woman as sweet as Edith. And he was incredibly brave to take on a role like that. When you saw David Dukes act you forgot he was an actor. We need more actors like him today.

He also played Jack Tripper's "Navy buddy" - (blind character) and Ann Romano's love interest in an early episode. But you're right! It's the "rapist" character that really stands out when we think of David Dukes. He also had an infamous name (minus the "s") (KKK)??? Still, he was quite genuine whatever role he played. Great actor. RIP!

the ad guy is the same guy that played Edith's attacker.
He got some real life hostility for that latter role.
