  • THANK YOU for helping me blur the liscense plate in my vid. You saved me time and headache and I appriciate your posting. Thanks again !

  • @JimbowT - Thanks. Glad it helped!

  • Love this tut THANK YOU.

    Simple and to the point.

  • @x808drifter - Thanks!

  • Being Retired and new to NLE programs I love being liberal with my constructive criticism. But this effort is really really good, and you have spolied my "fun"... okay, it maybe was a bit fast for me, and assumed a level of familiarity with PD9 that I do not yet enjoy... I've only just migrated from PD8 and you experts from the forum rather underplayed the challenge. So the toot has taught me several things in addition to the headline objective. Thanks. Now who are you and why are you here??

  • @BigEric42 - It may move a bit fast, as it is only an addendum to the official step by step Censor Blur tutorial available on the PDtoots channel (see referencing link in the description). And is intended to assist those who are having trouble with the changes made by Cyberlink, to the new PD9 user interface.

As to "who" and "why". Please the video here on my Sparetoob, titled… "Who & Why".

  • you may want to rename the title with power director somewhere in it... if it wasnt for sa cyberlink forum member posting a link to your vid i wouldve never found it. thanks a million man.. made it so much easier

  • @t1sutton - Your missing something. Though it's not necessarily obvious.

But I've done a two seperate Censor Blurs in PD9 several times, so it can be done. You just need to go to (or access) the key frames for the Blur "in" the clip. Just as you did for the Blur in the Effects track.

When I get some time later, I'll send you a PM. Or please send me one if and as soon as you figure it out, so I can save my delicate digits from some unecessary typing, hahaha. If this is urgent, let me know.

  • @PDtoots Thanks. However when I place the blur in the effect track, I can adjust the timeline for it to appear. But if I do that on the clip itself, it's applied to the whole clip, which I do not want to. And I can't seems to find a way round to it... or am I missing something obvious?

    Cheers

  • @t1sutton - Place one Censor Blur effect, in the Effects track. Drag a second Censor Blur effect down, and hover it directly over your clip, and release your left click.

You now have two Censor Blurs that can be independently modified. One in the Effects Track, and one placed/embedded directly into the clip.

You can have 7 (different) effects placed/embedded directly into the same clip at once. And one more duplicate effect in the Effects track.
